Toy manufacturer Lego has lost its trademarking rights for its attachable/detachable cuboids.; It’s amazing it had the right in the first place given how basic they are.

The genius of Lego was that someone thought sticking blocks together would be fun, not the blocks themselves which are essentially just little bits of plastic.

Anyway, Lego will have to up its game now and perhaps focus on the millions of new product lines it has brought out since the 1940s. More on copyrighting and product protection here.
